Ok, here's the story:

I got my J9 three years ago, shot several rolls and decided to give it a test.
I mounted my '68 J9 on my D60 DSLR via different adaptors. Off course it didn't focus to infinty so I tried it as macro lens. It's so damn creamy wide open that I couldn't resist to try it out at all stops.

IMO it's creamy at 2, get's crisp at 4 and so on. def. one of my all time favourite lenses.

I've got one on its way to me from across the seas. While I still love my industars the jupiters are very alluring. I've been using a 8 for about 6 months now and can't get myself to take it off!

It's a nice lens. The only problems is usually the yak grease drying out and making focusing more difficult. The lens is available in M42 - just as creamy. I like it.

BTW I think Kim Coxon has instructions on cleaning the focusing up if needed.
