Hi!
I have a - perhaps naive - question: Is it possible to exchange sensors (and chip/CPU I suppose) of a camera with another, equally sized sensor?
Specifically, I was wondering if one can somehow fit a Foveon sensor into a rangefinder (or mirroless AF) body with APS-C sensor, e.g. the Epson RD-1. I assume a digital camera is too complex to do this, but I know too little to rule it out.
Now I know that the Epson is a good camera as it is, but I would want (like some others) a M-mount rangefinder with Foveon for particular reasons.
Any takes on the feasibility of this?
Thanks,
Peter
