Excruciatingly Trivial Items Thread

Okay, I'll bite.

Terribly Unnecessary Bit of Personal Fact:

My B&H and KEH catalogs have a regular place of honor in the bathroom magazine-basket. Oh, and I have a bathroom magazine-basket.

ROFL, that's where most catalogs are around here too, including the new B&H. You'll probably find a couple of weeks-old fan/gossip mags there too, but those are my roommate's. Yeah, that's the ticket. :)

Also there (TUBoPF) are:

"The Fart Book" and
"Cucumbers Are Better Than Men Because"

Those are mine. :) {blush} and EVERYBODY who rests in the lounge reads them. :) I have a way of knowing. :)

(Do I dare say "Go Bombers!"?) :)

following the rule of Seven Degrees of Separation.. I'm not a fan of Costner, but the guy who built the canoe I just purchased , the Merrimack Souhegan, also built the canoe that Costner took his young bride for a paddle in directly after their wedding ceremony

(and the crowd says "big whoop")

Joe, nice-looking canoe, a lot like a Navarro tripper that I had before I got into kayaks. Did Costner's boat have a fu on the front?

Dark chocolate M&M's when I can have Scharffenberger 70% cacao? No contest! (Unless all the M&M's are green ones and the kids are hunting for quarters in the yard ;)).

Do you suppose that if we eat nothing but dark chocolate and some source of fiber, washed down with nothing but red wine and green tea, that we would live forever?

And for the truly desparate for the arcane AND trivial: Flexo printing of pressure-sensitive labels is cost-competitive with digital offset at small quantities (I did not know that!) and every labeling line uses a different core size and unwind direction.

There you go. Mine went right into the recycling bin.

Mine goes there fairly quickly, too, but only after thinking about the $6.95 price tag they put on the catalog. Since I sure don't pay that, where do you think the money comes from?

So what's the difference between Budweiser and Making love in a canoe ?

............

It's both f****** close to water ....

Moderator, forgive me for I have sinned.

When a batter is hit by a pitch but swings and misses, it's a strike and the batter is not awarded first base.

The Deckel firm, makers of the Compur shutter, also made fuel injection assemblies for Third Reich engines.

Roland - beer jokes? I forgive you even if the mods don't. Ever had a Lone Star? The brewerey sent one of their finest to Pilsen for an expert opinion. They received a letter back with one line:" We are not sure what you sent us, but we suspect the horse has diabetes."

Former Prime Minister P.E. Trudeau once said that a true Canadian has made love in a canoe. Who has done this? I am Canadian.

Does a small boat on a northern U.S. lake (near the Canadian border) with the motor off count?

And,..... did you know that in 75 years, the human heart pumps enough blood to fill an oil tanker 46 times?

Good on you! But a canoe is a whole different kettle of fish due to is narrow beam and tippy nature.

The Brussles Sprouts are up in my garden. Looking forward to a big bowl - steamed and buttered!

I like your corgi picture. I like corgis, they look like (at least to me) miniature German Shepherds, they are pudgy but not afraid to run. And they are cute as cute can be.

I LOVE CORGIS!!!!

There...

The other day I was going to bed. My wife had already turned in,
so it was me who had to switch off the light. One by one I turned
them off - then I was wondering, where does it go ?

Seriously, where does the light go when you switch it off ?

I found out.

Next time you do like me, when all the lights are out,
open the fridge. There it is !

Roland.

The dark chocolate M&Ms are GOOD. This isn't the first time they had them. When Star Wars Episode III came out in theaters they did the whole dark and light side of the Force thing, which were dark and milk chocolate M&Ms. I was addicted to the peanut dark chocolate until they stopped making them.
