Exhibit Opening - Detroit

Recently opened at the Detroit Institute of Arts: Foto Europa: 1840 to present.

Looks like a well-curated exhibit, I'll post some observations later.

Sometimes the catalogue for (what looks like) comprehensive exhibitions like this is worth buying - I'd be interested in your opinion. I couldn't find it in the museum shop on the web site.

Lynn, it's a fine though small exhibit, centered on German, French, and English practitioners, featuring 2-8 prints per artist. Some of the luminaries represented:

August Sander (nice selection incl "Young Farmers")
Cartier-Bresson
Ilse Bing

Of local interest (Detroit-themed): Vermeulen, Marchand & Meffie

I didn't see a catalog, either inside the exhibit or at the gift shop.
