all the M series film Leicas are together

For together read merged; making three instead of six threads.

Some of the most popular questions from newcomers cover many models; f'instance the ones about adapters for screw to bayonet not fitting; the ones about lenses not lining up correctly, the ones about frame lines and RF spots and so on. Then there's the which-do-I-keep or chose questions and so on. I can see a lot being duplicated and a lot being missed simply because a general question has gone into a precise pigeon hole.

Also splitting by make and model ought to be applied to several other generalised threads for consistency; like FED/Zorki and Kiev, or example.

Regards, David

All the categories does not make sense - you are just breaking RFF into even smaller, non-working pieces. This mix-up will require more maintenance and more moving threads here and there for the mods.

I found the Voigtländer image forum again - had some issues with this - but a link from the Voigtländer camera forum perhaps?

Seriously, what is supposed to be gained by fragmenting Leica rangefinders into more than LTM, M series and M digital? Or by creating sub-fora for the Sony A7?

Could we also get Nikon F, F FT, F FTN, F2, F2S, F2A, F2AS, F3, F3HP, F3P, F3TI etc. sub-forums for the SLR section, please?

I am inclined to think fragmenting isn't so good. I don't own nor wish to own Leica. But as it is now, I am more inclined to read at least a few posts in a thread, if not all, just out of curiosity.

I am not sure I am going to like this, but like a lot of things, it often boils down to getting used to something. Since I am not big into rangefinders over SLR, it probably won't affect me anyway, and if it helps others to enjoy more, drive on!

As with others, thanks for this site. It remains my favorite site, and I continue to recommend it to others.

Is there a way to flatten groups of subforums into a single list of threads for viewing?
Honestly, IMO there were too many subforums even before the new subforums were introduced.
