Had a good week at the auctions, added an Oly SP and a long awaited Yashica 35CC!

I have perfected my bidding secrets and now will share them with you (please, this information is confidential and only to be shared with close friends).

O.K., through exhaustive studies I have noticed that the higher I set my bid price, the more items I win. I know this sounds silly, and it is. Some would call it impatience, emotional bidding or just stupidity, I like to use a more etheral term like............... GREED!

Expanding Collection

Todd - I haven't had quite the luck with ebay that you have. I have discovered that the larger (non-chain) photo shops have a significant used camera sections, where most of their inventory is on consignment. It has been far more fruitful for me to obtain my collections this way. The attached image is my XA collection. I have slightly less than $200 invested in these four cameras, each with its original box, flash, instruction book and wrist strap.

That is a great collection at a great price, it looks like a family portrait!

I have been much luckier at Antique shops, Antique malls(multiple
vendors), Flea markets, and thrift stores like Goodwill.
With Ebay I check just before bed in case someone put out
someing I wanted with a low Buy It now price...

In the last month I have gotten 4 Canonets GIII's with
cases, straps, filters,3 Canonlite D flashes in their cases at
an average price of $15 per camera +flash, of course they
need seals and minor work on the cameras but thats expected.
All 3 flashes are working perfectly too.
My Yashicas all came from antique malls also.
