Expected Wein battery life

Finally had a little slice of time to play with this. Long story short, I noticed the 35 LC's battery slot consists of a little springy negative contact and the cap serving as positive contact.
So I put a Duracell DA13B8 1.4v zinc-air hearing aid battery, balancing over the negative contact, carefully screwed the cap and yes! It works! No adapter required! 🙂

Lucky it's designed this way. I've shaken the camera and the battery is held firmly.

Now the next question is, since the meter is expecting 1.35v and the battery produces 1.4v, anyone knows how much compensation do I need to apply?

Hi,

Some of you might find this minor modification to the battery cover interesting:

The camera in question was also modified to take SR44's.

Regards, David

PS Just don't cover the air hole with the ring.

The 35 LC battery cap has, conveniently, a hole to allow air in and still push the battery in place. I wanted to show some context, so the tiny tiny battery air hole isn't visible in this picture, but it's there, breathing. I love how it all fitted together for my benefit!
