Just got this flatbed scanner. I liked the idea of being able to scan up to 30 negatives in one go.
After trying it yesterday, I concluded that I must be doing something wrong as "negative color scans" weren't very clear.
I tried tried the follwing settings in jpeg:
3600 dpi at 100% (6 color with dut reduction, too large a file)
2400 dpi at 400% (6 color with dust reduction, no sharpening)
2400 dpi at 100% (6 color no dust reduction, no sharpening)
300 dpi at 100% (plain)
Anybody have some advice, for the 2400 dpi I had to reduce the image to 900 x 600 and sharpen it twice at 150 to get anything remotely clear...
I'll try again tonight and boost the sharpening and perhaps save in TIFF but the file is going to be gigantic....
Thanks
Rob
