I used to use both Tri-X and APX400 as my go to films, from ASA100 to 6400 for Tri-X and 100-800 for APX400. They worked just fine, simply compensating in development 🙂

However, both Tri-X and APX400 are faster films than Fomapan 100, so your task was easier a bit. I am trying this experiment because my results with Fomapan 200 and 400 were not sufficient so far. I will mix a special developer for these films, but, based on my efforts, I am sceptic.
