I was given two rolls of expired Kodak film 400 (expired in 2008) but I don't know if the person who gave it to me kept it in the fridge or anything.
I want to test it on a P&S camera, it has only 12 exposures but should I tell the lab to push/pull the little bugger since I can't control the ISO on the P&S?

You can change DX coding on the canister so that your P&S reads whatever you want...

If film is not damaged (fogged) it doesn't matter this much.

Me thinks I should give this film a skip then...
Not much harm in trying a 12-exposure roll to see what happens!

If it was me I would shoot at 200 and have the lab push 1 to be safe. I think the rule of thumb is over expose 1 stop for every 10 years, IDK.
I shot a 35+ year old roll about a year ago. It was never stored in the fridge, ever. It was Kodak gold 100. I shot it at something like 25 and pushed 1 and it actually came out pretty good.

If it is color print film then you should shoot it at iso 100 and process it as iso 400. You can use a black marker over the DX code and your camera will default to iso 100.
