Expired Tri-X Pan

In my freezer, behind some other stuff, I found a new unopened 50 foot roll of Trix-X Pan with an expiration date of 03/02. CAT 133 8284. In smaller green lettering is this: TX 401.

My question is simply this: Should I toss it, or is it still usable? And if so, should I make any developing time adjustments from the recommended D76 1:1 times recommended by kodak?

Very usable and no need for any difference in usage if it's been frozen the whole time. Goodness knows I wish I could find a roll like that hiding in my freezer as it would sure help my meager film budget 😱

It should be fine, particularly if you haven't put it through many freeze-thaw cycles. If it has fogged a little it might need a developer with restrainers (HC110 is a good commercially available one) and it may have slowed a little and need some more exposure or development. But it's likely to be fine.

Well good news! I don't think it's ever been thawed since my son brought it to me as a gift in 2003, which would have made it a year old at the time. I immediately put it in the freezer, where it's resided since. Tonight I removed it for about five minutes to read the data on the box, then put it back into the freezer. As a precaution, I'll get some HC110 - which I've never used - and do one roll. If the results suggest I need to drop the ASA (pardon - ISO) then I'll do so. It'll be a while before I have any results as I'll have to order the HC110 from Freestyle.
