Ok, I found one from my M9 and 35 Pre-A lux. This photographer took one of the most famous photos of all time and he did not even know how to use the camera. Orville Wright had set the camera up and told him to squeeze the shutter bulb when he saw the plane take off. So who gets credit for the photograph? Anyway I took some liberty and added the model...

I was trying to photograph the design left by a bucket of paint leaking onto our parking lot from the bed of a painter's truck on a windy day. I couldn't compose the shot the way I wanted without my shadow in the picture so I used it to advantage. The paint had leaked and partially dried... then he backed through it when leaving. It's now one of my favorite images.

This has been a pretty amusing read especially concerning all the posts where avatars have changed since they posted here.

Yes, it was, but the thread died pretty quickly… My avatar can't change, since my forum name refers to it, and I'm using it in other forums, too.
Would love to get more avatars explained. Care to explain yours…?

i just changed my avatar. This time it's me bent over my Ricoh GR at about 5 a.m. (late night, not early morning
) - still the same hair as the previous avatar photo, if only longer.

Hmmm, I think I posted earlier that it has to do with previous work.
It's a photo that should technically not exist.

I shall like to revive this thread!
It's my Argus C-4, Geiss modified, lens removed so that one can see the breech lock/bayonet.
*Does anyone have spare lenses s/he could part with?*
More depictions of that scarce camera, see: http://whitemetal.com/argus/c4_geiss/index.htm

Mine’s a prediction: the meterless MB Leica 35mm film camera, reviving a wonderful classic frame counter from the ‘50s.

It's a selfie I took in 2002 with my Casio WQV-1 wrist camera (which I still own, btw).

Simply the most beautiful Leica in the world. Leanekalb, with its leather coloured like an aubergine.

Mine is too easy, Thelonius Monk! I have loved Monk's music for over 50 years so when I changed my avatar it was the only one that would do. Can't even imagine ever changing it. No, I did not take the photo.
Monk is by far my favorite Jazz musician. Innovator!
And I have no Avatar. Guess I need make one.
