This is really back to the basics: A Leica loaded with XX and a Kiev/Contax loaded with XX. This is how 35mm photography started many many years ago ..... with cine 35mm double perforated. 😉

So I've shot a couple of rolls at EI 800 and picked up some Mircophen. Is there any advantage to using 1+0 vs 1+1?
 
Thanks for posting your test shots Fotohuis you've inspired to me try developing in HC110 and I love the rich tones this combination gives.

I used it mix B (1:31) at 20 C for 6 mins as you as the Massive Dev Chart recommended

Very Nice! I have a gallon of Acufine in the basement to mix up, I'll bet that works very well too with the XX since like Microphen it is a true speed-increasing developer. It was always a favorite of mine with the old Tri-X back in the seventies. And XX is a lot like old Tri-X in my opinion. I think I will buy some Acufine Replenisher to go with it. I think B&H stocks it.

That would be interesting! I need to start printing again, recently restored and upgraded my old Omega D2. Now I need to do some printing.

If I finish my home painting projects this upcoming week (I'm taking time off) then I will try to get to it
 
Especially interesting pictures of our own direct environment. Anyhow my place is Ravenstein on the river Maas in the Netherlands or Mykolaiv, Ukraine on the Black Sea. (Unfortunately seperated by 2600km highway).
We are not in a hurry. I am printing with the German Dunco II 67 120 pro enlarger equipped with a Heiland Split Grade system. I do a lot in 35mm and some in roll film format 6x4,5 - 6x6 and 6x7cm.

The last time I was in the USA was in Boulder Colorado near the Rocky Mountains. Before I was twice in Houston Texas. Two complete different areas and also different type of people.

In Europe I have visited almost all countries. In the past I did a lot of export work so then you are coming everywhere. So apart from Dutch language no problem in German, French, English and a bit Russian.

Unfortunately I had recently an operation in my arm with three metal pins to connect again but at the moment I am already more mobile so I can print again.

Recently I was also in Paris where we found back after 70 years family, disappeared during WWII (transported from Ukraine to Germany). So what happened last Friday it really hurts.

My next step: KODAK 5222 Double-X in Atomal ATM-W (from Wehner). He made a synthetic alternative for the HEAP used in this developer which ingredient was also used in May & Baker Promicrol. Fine grain combined with higher speed. I will try it on E.I. 400. Of course I have to do some measurements first.
 
Thanks for all the reports about this film. This actually might be the film that could replace 125 PX for me now that I look at the results!

I want to try some, but I do not really want to start rolling my own film. Is there any place to get reasonably priced rolls?!

Note: the Film Photography Project website is simply too expensive for me to "ethically" want to support. Consumers need to be critical too.

Point 1: I am starting to figure things out, I am a bit slow. I can get this film from http://shop.fotohuisrovo.nl/product_info.php?products_id=559.
Point 2: Fotohuis is probably linked up with these guys somehow! Glad to know I can support a forum member that answers questions and helps us all!!!!
