Hi,
I have a couple of Agfa Record iii that I quite enjoy using, except for the very small and a bit dark viewfinder.
Thinking about getting a 50mm viewfinder for the cold shoe, so would use the viewfinder as just a rangefinder window, like a Barnak Leica, and the external viewfinder to compose.
However, these are quite pricy and I can’t find one locally to test if framing is accurate. Has anyone tried this? Any recommendations on models/brands?
Thanks!

I have a Leica 50 viewfinder that I could use on my Record iii but I rarely use it. And a shoe mounted viewfinder may not be accurate itself.
The only way to really know how accurate your finder is is to put a piece of ground glass of some sort at the film plane of the camera and compare.
I predict that the viewfinder of your camera will show less than what actually goes on film.
