Hi all,
like others, my R-D1 remains a favorite in my bag, along with the M8. I am, however, tiered of the scratches I am getting on my glasses. I remember someone saying, a while ago, that one of the old Nikon bodies has a matching eyepiece that matches the R-D1 and can prevent such scratches. Does anybody have any information on that or on any other solution?

Thank you very much, that is very helpful.

btw, I did use the "serach" function before... hope my question did not cause a trafic jam in the highly crowded rd-1 forum...

Doesn't your R-D 1's eyepiece have a rubber ring on it? Mine does; I thought they all did. I use it with glasses all the time -- no problem.

If yours has a non-standard eyepiece or if the rubber ring just came off at some point, maybe the easiest solution would be a replacement stock eyepiece.

No, it doesn't, maybe it fell at some point. Do you have any suggestion how to get the replacement stock eyepiece? just contact Epson?

The Nikon one is almost identical, and the Voigtlander Bessa one is identical; either will be easier to get, and cheaper than, the genuine Epson one.

PS: R-D1 eyepieces are described in my R-D1 FAQ (see sticky post in this forum).
