Eyefi or similar for X100?

Nipping off for a short lads' break and will be taking my X100 - carry-on, weight restrictions etc.

I went on a similar trip last September and ended up using my iPhone and iPad cameras too often. I travel with an iPad Mini and although I have an adaptor to load from the SD card, I'm often not at my optimum later on in the day when I want to share a few images.

Does anyone have anything positive to report about using an Eyefi card or similar? I'll be in the Algarve and wifi is abundant. Without fiddling with SD cards and adapters(dropping things into drinks is not uncommon), the idea of transferring images wirelessly appeals.

The Eyefi Mobi works very well. It will transmit JPG to your handheld and read the raw files on a card reader on your computer. The older Eyefi X2s also work well with the new iOS app, but they are very slow to read on a computer and not very durable (buy one that is all-orange; the ones with the white labels sometimes lose their "fins"). Buy an extra NP-95. If you are not in a holy hurry, the iPad camera adapter is another way of moving all the files from a card to your iPad, and you don't need an Eyefi card to do it.

Is your experience of the Mobi coupled with the X100?

I'm only looking to share a handful of images per day. I can wait until I get home for the majority of my images to be introduced to a computer.

I've had the camera for a few years now. I have 5 NP-95's!

I use a mobi 32gb with an original X100 and an iPhone 6. Works a charm, though in direct mode, you may need to manually select the eye fi if other recognized networks are around.

I was only looking for a method that made posting images from an older, 'proper'', camera only slightly less hassle than using an iDevice.

I'm on holiday, vacation, not on assignment, but looking back on some of the stuff I 'shared' in September, I took the easy way out and used the iDevices. With practice I'm hoping that I can share X100 images with not a lot more effort.

Ordered a Toshiba Flash Air. Got a good deal.

I had high hopes for the eye fi, but it really messed up my digital work flow. Actually in a weird way it made me appreciate film more.

Lighten up. I was looking for a better way to send a couple of images per day on a drunken trip to the Algarve.

Normally I can insert an SD card into my MBP. I can also use the Apple SD reader.

First world problems, eh!

I'm using an eye-fi X2 in a couple of different cameras.
Works seemlessly with iOS 8.2. With autosync set up on flickr app I have jpegs to share within a minute of capture on a fast conection (LTE).
I set the card to "direct mode" sending only the jpeg.
I transfer the RAW files later with a hard connection.
It's working great in a fuji xe1, xp1, and Ricoh GR.

I'm not aware of the Toshiba cards. If it works as well as the eye-fi you should be stoked.

Just to update. Toshiba FlashAir card arrived and I managed to test it under holiday conditions - after a few pints.

Works very well with the X100/iPad/iPhone combo.
