The rubber gasket on the eyepiece of my R2A has been separating for a few weeks now. Today it was just hanging by a thread. 🙁

Is this a common problem? It seems like I have the following options:

1. Let it fall off and allow the viewfinder to scratch the hell out of my glasses.
2. Buy a new eyepiece diopter? From where?
3. Get some superglue and glue the gasket back on.

I'm leaning toward option 3 right now, but I'd love to hear from anybody who's already walked this path before.

You could buy a -1 and +1 diopter and stack them like filters 🙄

Seriously though.. that whole piece unscrews and I'm sure a dealer that is a licensed Voightlander dealer (or others?) would get one for you. Stephen Gandy comes to mind first, plus he's a heck of a nice guy. That's where I'd start www.cameraquest.com

At least you kept your rubber gasket long enough for it to separate. Somehow the whole thing unscrewed itself and fell off. I think I may have vacuumed it a few weeks back.

I just ordered one from CameraQuest for $25. A bit pricey, but it's better than scratching my eyeglasses.
