f-803 or clone users ?

What's in there?

What's in there?

M6 and M2 with lenses in side pockets, and CV Ultron 35/1.7 in the middle, together with some Series shades, filters, etc.
Front pockets hold Weston Master light meter, some film, etc...

And there's still lots of space in there....

Joe, IMO the photos don't do justice to the cloth of this bag, is very VERY nice.
Agreed, Oscar. As an owner of both Domke and Safrotto bags, I think the Safrotto bag is made of higher quality canvas.

Bought my Domke F-803 on eBay (without seeing it first). Absolutely delighted. I've used a variety of bags but this is one that is discreet, comfortable to wear, not unfashionable and perfectly sized for rangefinder gear. The added value of this bag is that the canvas fades quickly to give that authentic "serious photojournalist" look but is of such good construction that it will last for ever. My Billingham 206 Presstop I use for my Nikon D100 is similarly well constructed but after a year of use it practically looks as new as the day I bought it! Thinking of selling it on eBay as it just looks too new!! Also have a Domke F-3X for SLR gear (another brilliant bag).

Felipe organized Safrotto bags for us, I ordered a F-3x clone which will arrive sometime this week when I'm some 300 miles away at a customers :-(.

Reports about quality from the first batch where very promissing.

I looked into a group purchase for North America, but the savings per bag was not really that much. That being said, I still have an interest in these bags. One can never have too many camera bags you know.

it seems crazy to pay 40 bucks for a bag and 30 for shipping!
i can't get my head around that one or i would buy that bag.

anyone closer have one for sale?

If the total cost is less than the total cost of getting a Domke then what's the problem? For some reason the F-803 is comparatively expensive. I think the bigger F-802 is actually less expensive.

$89 I think, without the insert if I am correct. Once you add the insert, even with the cost of shipping it ends up less than the Domke.

I just received one of those Domke F-804 clone bags made in China. They are being sold on e-Bay by Photo1818 and shipped from San Jose California. Shiping is only $15.00. This particular bag is $34.99. I did a BIN at $39.99 and he included the optional shoulder pad at no extra cost.

It’s a solid, good-looking bag. A little bigger than I imagined, The Safrotto label is under the flap, one on each pocket. I paid for it on a Thursday and received it in Texas the next Monday.
