Well, Joe, for whatever it's worth, I paid Eric Boehm $288.50 for that lens including shipping within the US, but I don't recall it including a uv filter. Remember, your lens is the one I traded to Roland for a collapsible 50 cron (that's the reason I bought the CV 50 lens from Eric - to trade with Roland). I thought that was a pretty good price for the CV lens, so that number may be a tad on the low side.

Hey, if you're not using it and don't see using anytime soon, why let it sit there on the shelf or drawer? Sell it so someone else can enjoy it. I recall it looking like brand new so I'm sure it'll be a real find for someone else.

what lenses do you have, anyway? I'm still not sure about trading that 25/4 but its not beyond the realm of possibility, as my wife says about...never mind about that. My little problem is what lenses to KEEP, and USE. The current range, limited as it is, is okay but seems to overlap just a wee bit: 25, 35, 50. What do you think?

that was different, i was going for all of them...i was 'collecting' them.
Nothing wrong with that. I remember some of the interesting conversations about their different characters. I had the 2.8 at one time and thought it was excellent in the shadows. I also liked it in colour.

i agree, nothing wrong with that, but it was different in that i knew my favourite was the 2.8 and i knew why.
it has gotten to the point now that i was not knowing my equipment and what the lenses were capable of.
i have pared down to 5 good lenses. i will soon be getting a another body for backup and also to use as a second shooter on those 2 camera days.
i plan on getting 'intimate' with this gear.

Right now, I'm finding myself constantly switching out a roll of 400 iso with 1600, and then back again.. then back again.. then back again.
Although a nice 75 would be nice. 90 is too long for me 😀

The next day I have want to take out a camera with me as I go out but I don't want to rewind the film, take it out and put in slower film since I have to keep track of how many shots were taken and keep it seperated from the film that hasn't been shot etc. This is actually what I currently do. It's a pain.
I've had a roll of delta 400 at 1600 switched in and out of the camera 4 times now and the roll is almost done! Anyways.. that's why I'd pine for 2 bodies. 🙂
Oh, and her name is Tanya. Her friend bought a canonet from there for 35 bucks. It's broken. Tanya tried to fix it and failed horridly. Yay rangefinder!

Joe, if you are going to really get to know htis gear I think that one of the wides is going to have to go (probably the 28). There doesn't seem much point in it with the 25.

there was a guy with lots of cameras there, i asked about m stuff. he hands me a list and says 'i keep the leica stuff behind the table'. there was a cle on the list and he said it was in nice shape so i took a look. i asked if the meter worked. he says 'if it's on MY table it works!'.
so i put a lens on it and hit the shutter button and the meter diodes go crazy racing up and down the scale. yeah, works fine...

Perhaps it was a stop of two overcast, but the negatives were fantastic. The only irony was that they weren't good for scanning, since they required too much Dmax. Big range, y'know?
Speaking of your lenses, Joe, you had me fishing through my pockets for cash to buy your '90. Then I started looking into what made the Hex '90 so nice, and now I think I'm really in trouble. So far, I've been lucky that I've been sticking to 50s only, but that's mostly because I lack the adapters to put anything else on the M4.

And uhh.. heh.. planetjoe. I shoot Delta 1600 in the daytime. I've shot trix 1600 in the daytime. There's such a loss of tonality that I really try not to. Sometimes though, I just don't give a **** and shoot it anyways. Ah..
