The problem is anyone can contribute to Getty, Alamy, Rex etc with cutbacks on picture desks no one cares and no one checks.

When the budgets are fake, the payment schedules are fake, the articles are written from a continent away and articles are regurgitated from paper to paper it makes sense the photojournalist is fake too. I mean only a fake photojournalist could survive in this marketplace no?

One guy fakes some photos, a few news agencies fall for it, and that becomes some kind of indictment against modern media as a whole? No. I believe there have been con artists before.

As someone who has worked within the 'machine' I am quite comfortable with anY indictments.
But yes, con men are out there and sometimes plentiful 😉
