Hey all,
I'm in need of some help. I'm working on a concept for a visual effects piece (computer generated environmental piece) and I need reference material!
I really need names (or galleries) of famous landscape photographers. The only one I really know of is ansel adams to be quite honest. I'm looking for nature shots of any kind, although I would prefer them to be of a high quality and have much visual interest.
Anything from urban decay in rural settings to rural landscapes, etc.
Basically I need nature in the shots. Interesting contrasting objects or ideas within the theme of nature landscape photography.
So if you guys know of any famous landscape photographers I'd be extremely interested and happy. Thanks so much.
Help! eee

While his work is impressive, i need more than just "plane jane nature".
What I'm looking for are artists that showcase landscapes with both nature and signs of human civilization. Such as ruins or remnants of farm houses or anything of that sort.
It could also be more surreal landscape photography. Staged or not staged is fine too.

Real Men Shoot Film.
Walker Evans and David Plowden. Both did landscapes and urban and rural scenes that showed human activities/buildings/ruins. Plowden also did a lot of trains in his landscapes and Evans and Plowden both did a lot of stuff in small rural towns
