Well-known
I discovered his work at the LA Photo fair here in January. Not a rangefinder man (he used a Rollei as was common for many photogs of that time), his images are unlike anything I've ever seen. Surreal, sweet and spiritual are the descriptors that come to my mind when I view his work. From what I understand, there is no other body of work documenting Hong Kong during this time period (50's). Check out the exhibition, Also, look for the comtemporary prints page and you will see amazing color images of unreal sunsets, surnrises and moomlit scenes. I'd be interested to hear what you all think of his work.
