I second the oppinion that the 1.7/35 Ultron isn't among the best 35mm's for daylight usage.

The LL server is up again and I've read those articles. Very useful. Many thanks.Huck Finn said:John,
I was in a rush before, on my way out the door. I have time now, so here are the direct links:

I am beginning to favour the Nokton 1.2 for the sort of use I plan for it, with one reservation, and that is how much of the view does it block, without hood, on an M7 with 0.72 finder? Does anyone know the answer to this?
My G5 digicam at 35mm (equivalent) also blocks some of the view through the finder, and I've found I can live with it, within reason.
I'm not so worried by the physical size, because indoors, or outdoors after dark, I don't think this is as much of an issue as in daylight street photography.

On a M6ttl .72 the CV 1.2 with the hood off blocks just slightly more than a 35 Summicron ASPH with the the standard square hood on. I assume this would also be true for the M7. I normally use my CV 1.2 on my M6tll .58 with the standard CV hood on and I don't find it a problem.

That just about seals it!
