Dave, did yoou also make a comparison with the Summicron?
I did it only superficially. Found out the OOF softness of the 1,2 extends all the way in other apertures. The Summicron is sharper all the way, including OOF areas at the same aperture.
More comprehensive test coming up...

I didn't do any tests with the summicron - I didn't think to compare them as they're different brands but you rais a good point. I should shoot some like that and see what the OOF areas are like.
