Hello... Advice please, thank you!
What's the best digital camera to buy that will give the 'manual' /film experience, and at a reasonable/reachable price? I'm trying to plan for a gift for that special someone (my dad who is a camera nut).. He uses a canon a-1 and once had a nikon fm2n (?is that right) and used to have the little leica cl which he loved very much indeed and which was a big feature of my childhood until it died, like one of the pets...
But now he doesn't develop pictures anymore himself so I thought a decent digital would be a nice retirement gift.
I tried to get him a digital slr last year but he looked a bit sniffy about it. He's a very particular man. So I guess the things I need to find are a really good viewfinder and the proper old fashioned layout of buttons and knobs as computer menu's are anathema to him. He doesn't like holding the camera out in front of him and refuses to use our little digital point and shoots.
Anyway, will stick my head in Jessops but thought I'd ask here...
