Favorite lens?

Interestingly I haven't focused on specific lenses and don't have a favorite. I have shot mostly with unassuming ones. But I'd pick the Zuiko OM 50mm 1.8 MiJ, with which started I photography.

Basically went for bang/buck in each system, and the classic 50mm f1.8 double gauss standards are what I've shot in most.

Ironically, currently I'm using 40mm equivalents and left 50mm behind. Fujinon 90mm 3.5 in 6x9, nicely performing but I'd not be able to point lens specific characteristics.

In m43, I have a 35-100 f2.8 which is great and compact for the focal equivalent.

Agree, when I see results from that lens I do get GAS, till I think of the weight and that I need to use up the current stable more.

No 'favorite' lens but when I checked my files I found that I've been using the Zeiss Biogon 2.8/28 more than any other lens -until it developed the infamous 'wobble'. So far, I've been unable to get it fixed locally and will replace it with the Voigtlander Ultron 2/28 as soon as the borders re-open.

Leica Summicron 35 f2 ASPH.... Just love it all around... I've got vintage Leica lenses too... but I shoot Color more these days and love the colors I get from it.... Shoot plenty of B&W with it as well which it also excellent might give a edge to the vintage Leica lenses on B&W... all apertures it just works... I've beat it up a little over the 20 years I've owned it... expect it to last a lifetime easy.

My Faforite lens is the Zeiss Sonnar T* 35mm F2 on the Sony RX1mII.
The RX1mII is an awkward Photo-computer, touting one of the very best 35mm lenses married to a beast of a 42 mpix sensor.
Not the nicest handling, but it is the results that count.
