I have to use pliers to remove Leitz casettes from Leicas, I thought this was normal?

Lots of good info in this thread, but can someone give an idea (picture) of the comparison in size between a FED 1 and the contemporary Leica models? Or should I take 'clone' litteraly and are they identical in size?

Fed-1s (or early Zorki equivalents) pass for bargin leica III on e-bay with black piant job and new engraving etc.
If you can get one cheap they are rather nice.

I'm not there
The seller has disappeared. So I got a Fed-3 for 8 bucks. It seems to be in great shape. Though the focusing ring on the lens is a bit stiff.
