I have one of these interesting old lenses which I bought at the same time as a FED-S, but which is evidently not matched to it. It seems to focus properly on a Canon threadmount body, with both the actual focus and the RF coupling pretty close. The 50mm f2 lens that came with the FED-S appears to be properly matched to that body.

On the FED-S body, the 100, as well as other LTM lenses indicate correct focus in the RF at infinity with the lens set to 20m. These old beasts did not have a standardized lens to film distance, but I did not think it was that far off.

Since the RF and actual focus for the 100 correspond properly on a standard camera, can I assume that I can just believe the RF of the FED-S when using this lens, and just live with the fact that lenses focus past infinity on this body? If I shim the mount out by about 1/4 turn the lens indicates infinity properly. I don't want to shim the actual mount on my FED-S, since then the matched f2 lens will be wrong, so the brute force method would be to add a 0.25mm washer to the focusing mount of any other lens I mount on the camera, but I am looking for something a little less crude for this nice old 100 f6.3 to adapt it just for the FED-S. Any ideas?

Dez, I have a Jupiter-9 which does not focus correctly on any body which works well with other lenses. So I have precisely mal-adjusted the R/F on a FED-2 body, which came for $20, for this particular lens.

The 100/6.3 is an uncommon lens and for that reason has market value, but I do not know if it is any good for routine use.
