Hi, i recently try to take a landscape shot with my fed 2 using a really long cable release and it wouldnt shoot, i guess my cable release has a too long "bit" that comes out and it locks randomly even if i put in in the "free moving" mode, sometimes it goes back in normal mode where the button stays pressed and you have to release it, and im thinking maybe i pressed too much and jammed the Shutter Release mécanisme, anyway i bought a fed because its a bit simpler than other cameras to try and repair it myself so if anbody has ressources like websites or videos on how to repair this cable release button issue, that would be great, thanks in avance.

Have you tried just holding the release up straight so that it's a straight line out of the camera right up to the finger end? Friction in the cable may be holding it from moving.

Yeah im pretty sure its the camera because i always try to put it straight, but its a heck of a long cable so maybe its just that, i will check, thanks for the input.
