Fed-2 First Roll (Yet Another)

I was shocked at the quality out of that ugly, beat up, little lens...all the more so because I did a very crude rangefinder adjustment (still can't get the vertical very close) and shot at f4.
I really can't get over that Industar 26....

Kodak UC400...I think it's my new favorite.

I really can't get over that Industar 26

I was similarly impressed by the I-26 I got with my FED 2 too - I think it's a greatly overlooked lens.

Easy to see how it could be overlooked. Mine at least is beat up, butt-ugly, full of fine dirt and falling apart.
I cannot tell you how low my expectations were.

Ahh, seven - about time for his first Zorki. Although... his hold on that bottle is more of a Contax/Kiev grip. Quick! Tape his fingers together!

My two granddaughters (ages 6 &10) stayed with us about 3 weeks this summer. Upon their arrival, I immediately bought them a couple of throw-away shooters. The older took some pretty decent shots, while the younger had her's spent in about 17 minutes... pictures of a leaf on the ground, weeds, a stick, her seat belt, her foot... etc.

That one hasn't shown an interest in photography. His older brother (10) enjoys playing around a bit.
Unfortunately, I can't afford film for a 10 year old with impulse control problems...so he's got an old 2mp digital. Now that I think of it, that old thing cost as much as my Fed-2.
Both boys are color blind, btw. Perhaps they'll have a future in black and white photography.
