FED-2 uneven exposure

A picture is worth a 1000 words, so I'll let them speak for themselves.

It doesn't appear on all of them but when it does it extends into the top of the sprocket drive holes, I don't think it's a shutter issue. Both the 85 and 50 do it. It did not do it during an entire modeling session, 3rd pic related, but I do have that blotch in the lower right on all my scans. The hair was only on first frame. First roll had none of this stuff.

Quite a dramatic pattern. I agree that it doesn't look as if it is a shutter issue. If this were due to light leak in the camera, it would have to be light onto the emulsion side of the film, as from the back would leave an orange/red hue.
If you saw none of this on one of the rolls (you don't say how many you have tried), then I would suspect the processor.

That looks like a broken piece of film. Like fidget said, could be a proccesor problem. And please use smaller photo size next time.

I was going to say a light leak due to one side of the pressure plate (or whatever holds the film down) not having a good even pressure applied. But, that is a very distinct and repeating change in exposure that appears to be identical in the two frames shown above. I'm almost inclined to go with farlymac and say maybe it's a piece of broken film that was in the way either during shooting or during processing.

I notice that most of the edge of it is clean and even except for the spot just below the first hook at the top which tells me there's depth to create the softness. I also see that the even streak that appears on those shots is there in the model shot as well, just less pronounced.

I'd say look at the camera inside and out, run a roll through it with varied exposures on an even toned background and see if you can replicate it.

It is very possible this was a screw up by the people who processed the film however and something was stuck in their machine as it fed your film through.

cool beans, well I'll load it up again and run another test roll and process it in a different location.

I've gone through it and it appears to be fine, I added a small amount of lue on the drive gear at the bottom but I've looked it over for a week and can't see where a light leak would be
