Fed 2

Is the collapsible 3.5, 50mm Fed 2 lens meant to stay on the camera or
can it be removed to interchange a lens?

I had a Rollei 35 at one time and it had a collapsible lens but not removable.

The Fed 2 should take any leica thread mount lens, they are ment to be interchangable. Some older FSU lens might not fit.

Hi Richard, yes the lens on the Fed can be removed (unscrewed) and other lenses interchanged.

It's a leica thread mount lens. It can be removed and interchanged with other LTM lenses.

Thanks all for your replies. I just my Fed 2 last night.
Loaded a roll of Plus X and shot off half the roll this morning.

My thought on the camera:
1.) Gives one a real feel of ruggednest.
2.) Easy to handle.
3.) Viewfinder is easier to focus than my Fed 5.
4.) From getting out of the box, it only took about 30 minutes
to figure everything out. Thanks to the help on this forum.

Gotta go run of the rest of the roll and develope it now.
