I discovered that when I mounted my Industar 22 on my new Fed 2f (courtesy of Squeaky Clean), I could not focus the lens to infinity because there was not enough space between the body and the focusing knob.
I filed away the metal (I'm really sorry that I had to do this) and now the lens will focus and lock at infinity. I'm just wondering if this is at all unusual on the Fed 2f.

That sounds normal. I tried my Elmar 50/3.5 and an Industar 50 on my FED 2 and found the symptoms that you describe.
I now use a collapsible FED 50/3.5 which has different infinity lock just to avoid that problem. I expect it's basically an Industar specifically made for the FED 2. I received mine from Fedka and found it to be clean with optics that are nicely coated.
Once I got it working I found a collapsible 50 and a FED 2 go together like pizza and beer.

Oh that's excellent, Jason.
I just wish I didn't have to cut the pizza to fit the beer.

The I-22 you have is made for a Zorki. The zorkis have a thicker mounting flange, thus the different focus tab............

Back to basics...
Glad to hear you're getting some use out of the Fed! Sounds like you've got the problem figured out. Never had a chance to try any of the collapsible lenses on it... Always wanted to, though.

Yes, I received the Industar with Jonas' Zorki-5 (He 'upgraded' to a Zorki 1), and I noticed the thicker flange as well.
Thanks for the camera, Chris. I'm sorry I had to damage it! I put a roll through it and all the photos came out well, but I can't access the files on the CD right now since I'm on Linux. I'll upload them as soon as things settle down a bit.
