So I got a FED 3 in the mail, and I can't figure out how to reset the film counter. This seems pretty silly, but...can anyone help? Is it obvious and I'm missing it?
Okay...the problem I'm having with the FED 3b now is that I can't figure out how to rewind the film back into the canister. Any ideas? There doesn't seem to be a release that I can figure out so I can start rewinding the film.
press down the ring around the shutter release. That releases the film. You can lock it down while rewinding by turning it towards B after depressing it.
Enjoy your Fed! What lenses do you have?
Edit - thanks Chris! BTW it doesn't mention that the knurled knob around the vf eyepiece is a diopter adjustment, and the similar knob around the rf window is a rf adjustment (I have the Revue 3 model, and cursed the out of adjustment rf until one day I discovered you could just turn the knob..)
Oh thanks, that's brilliant. I've been playing with it and felt pretty sheepish.
I just picked up the FED from another RFFer in Wales. All I have at the moment is the Jupiter 50/2. Considering an 85/2 perhaps as well at some point. Any lenses I should definitely be on the lookout for?

Jupiter-12 is one of my favorite 35mm lenses.
And, as you add more lenses, you will probably want/need auxiliary viewfinders. The FSU Turret finder works pretty well and you'd then have coverage for 28, 35, 50, 85, and 135mm lenses in one accessory.
