Hi to all,

I recently bought a cheap Revue 3 and put it appart to fix shutter problems. The ribbons were loose from the drum and rods. Now I
can't put it back.

I will apreciate any information on how to e assemble the curtain and ribbons, etc.

I have found some about the Zorki 4, but none on the Fed 3

Regards

There was a book by Maizenberg (I think that's the spelling). If you search for it, I think it can be found on the internet. It covers the majority of the FSU cameras. However, the basic shutter operation is the same in all FED 1-5 and Zorki 1-6 models. You can also look on Jay Javier's site (search for FED/Zorki Survival), the models he shows are the FED/Zorki 1 but still, the principle of the shutter is the same.

Thanks for the link; I will see if I can put it back together and working....

Unfortunately I did not mark the position of the drum and curtains, a the link explains...

The 'Maizenberg Bible' is over here and in various threads here on RFF where I've posted it (there's a bunch of links to the PDF out there).

It'll tell you that you might have to try a couple of times to get the curtains in correctly if the original positions are lost. Fear not, however; it can be done. It's not unheard of that curtains are degraded beyond being useful as templates or even simply missing, at which point your in the dark anyway.

The subject of shutter repair/replacement is covered in pages 115 to 125. Mind that you'll be scrolling back and forth a lot as the images aren't placed parallel to the text - so you might want to print the pages you need.

Many thanks for the information, I will do as you say and if I can't make it I will buy a cheap one and use the best of both.
