FED 3 type a Question about Shutter speed ?

when I turn the shutter speed to 1/60 or lower EX 1/15 1/8 1/4 1/2 1 the top of shutter didn't go down to flat like when we do a speed 1/125 or High . this is a normal or not but the sound of the shutter look fine for me.

When you lift the dial to set a slow speed, the dial does't fully fall down. Its the same with other screwmount Zorki and Fed models with slow speeds, exept for the Zorki 3 🙄

The way the mechanism works it has to sit a bit higher on 1/60 or slower. That's an unusual speed dial on a FED 3a you have there, only ever seen one other like it. They are normally a 1-piece not 2-piece.

That's a nice FED3a top, hope the rest of it is as nice.
I recently bought one too, my last FSU purchase (not THE last, you know, just the last before the next...).
I had hankered after after what looks like the earlier Fed3a (Fed 3aa?) with the lovely inscription in Cyrillic and that speed selector. Although it looks nice, the speed selector is a bit of a pain to use as, unlike the similar FED2 selector, this has all the speeds inc slow speeds engraved on it, very dense markings. Need my glasses to change speeds. Aside from the name on the top, I prefer the later model.

by the way i got another question in the Shutter release and rewind ring thai I see two font one is looklike "n" but it shout be B and another one is C
I read from web fed3 manual for type B thay say "Move it counter-clockwise as possible to C " when I try it move just a little bit 5cm I think . and i gon see any simblo or arrow to show me that i select C and the screw are on the B letter ,

IT MEAN I already choose C right ? i try move clockwise to B is just 5 cm move ?

ignore the letters. Simply screw it clockwise for rewind, counter-clockwise for normal operation...

Just turn the rewind collar as far as it goes, press down too as you turn to the rewind position. It should not matter if it lines up with the symbols....
