Hello all,
I was just having a bit of a clear out, getting ready to put some stuff on the bay, when I happened to notice the serial number on a FED 4 I've had knocking about for a while. I actually got the camera still in its case, inside the original TOE import box, but the camera needs a CLA and I haven't gotten round to it; that being said it is cosmetically almost mint.
Anyway, having digressed, the serial number on the base is 006573, and I just wondered roughly how many FED 4s were produced...
Thanks,
Tom

How do I find out which type I have?

May contain traces of nut
The FED-4A has a higher body, has the logo engraved directly into the body cover, and has a little round screw-in window for the rangefinder. The FED-4B has a somewhat lower body and has a rectangular front plate for the logo, with a small round hole for the rangefinder in it.How do I find out which type I have?
Some pictures from Ulrich Witte's beautiful German site:

Ok, mine's a type B. Cool to know.
So that's a fairly early one I've got, which of corusemeans nothing, but is interesting nonetheless.
