Fed 5 with 2.8/55 on the bay

Some guy is selling Fed 5 from his dad in good condition, and has no idea what it is (he doesnt even know its a fed 🙂. He couldn't tell me what lens it is (cause its written in russian) accept that it's 2,8/55. Anybody know this lens?

I have a Zorki 3c with Jupiter-8, haven't used a Fed. What can I expect? Am I going to love it? be disappointed because its a lot different than zorki? what are your thoughts?

It's probably an Industar 61 L/D, which adorns most Fed 5s. Nice lens, good contrast.

If its inexpensive, go for it. I have a Fed5b and a Zorki3 - I prefer the Zorki's design from a user standpoint, but I've taken nice shots with my Fed as well.

I agree - the lens is probably a Industar - if in good condition, its a nice lens.

I'd tell you, go for it, I61 L/D is a nice sharp lens 🙂
