I have a fed-2 coming from ebay. I like to do street photography. Any recommendations on a good lens for my new camera?

Cheers

The Jupiter.12 is one favorite here among the FSU crowd. (f2.8 ~ 35mm) I've got mine mounted on a Leica.III right now. Check out the Zorki.4 link in my signature.

BTW, welcome to RFF!! Enjoy the FED.

Another good option is the Industar 22 or 50. Both are 50/3.5 collapsible lenses that make up for their lack of speed by making the Fed small enough to fit in a reasonable sized pocket. I use a I-50 collapsible on a Zorki 6 for a nice and compact FSU street shooter.

Granted I prefer the 50mm FOV... :D

I'd second the J-12, which is a really nice lens. I'd also suggest the J-8 (50/2). It has a character that I htink is well-suited to street photography, and it works quite well at its max of f/2

As William say, great little lenses, but if you have a Fed 2 coming, from my experience the I50 collapsibledoes not seem to suit the FED 2,as it's focussing tab will bind against the lens mount. All is not lost however as the Fed 50mm.collapsible operates perfectly.
