Today I have been through a killing spree by damaging almost everything I had touched! I had sprayed briefly silicon lubricant on the leafs of the shutter from the side of the film chamber, and now, although it clicks when firing the shutter, it won't open. :bang:
Have I permanently damaged my Fed? Is there a way to repair it?

Permanently, no. After cleaning blades shutter will fire fine again. Question is how you will clean blades. Spilling lighter fluid directly on blades will transport silicone stuff even deeper...or maybe it already has migrated to deepest deeps of shutter due to it's nature.

Happily this small shutters are also rather simple so dismantle and cleaning each blade is best thing I can recommend.

Recently I dealt with Chaika II and here are some pics to show whole business is a piece of cake.

The problem now is how can one remove the lens on this rangefinder? It does not seem to have any screws from the back, so I guess it has to be done on the front side.

Pure stupidity! I wanted to lubricate the blades, but after the first spray I remembered that you never do this to shutters like this. Stupid me! :(

There is some information that I have found in another forum. Mikron 2 is much alike Konica 35. There is a page in Japaneese that shows how to open it up from the front side

Konica 35 Repair, Google Translate

I have even managed to restore the automatic mode by repairing its CdS meter.
Now, my Mikron 2 clicks happily!
