Fed up for the FSU contest

Today I just got a nice Fed-2 from the bay (Ukraine). After my week with the traveling Fed from the "Pass the RF - part 3" thread, I just had to have my own 😉. First impression was "Yucky". Sticky gunk everywhere, but with good curtains, a clear VF and very clear RF spot, and good sounding shutter. The Industar-26 has perfect glass. After a couple of hours cleaning a good-looking camera appeared from under layers of gunk. I guess the dirt is proof of good use, which should indicate that this is one of good quality. So, with the Zorki-4 and the new Fed-2, I'm set to go for the FSU contest 2007!

I too was seduced by this contest. I had some soviet glass, but the contest has now given me soviet GAS! I now have a Zorki 4 and a 4K. The 4 has unusual markings on top (numbers instead of letters for the flash sync) and I'm scratching my head over the various positions in which to set the rewind button. Thank you guys. Pretty isn't it? Mike, I use my glass house to make these shots. Light from the side and above and I make sure there's no direct sunlight.
