FED Zarya rewind knob removal

Hi all!
I need to open up my FED Zarya (basically FED-2 without the rangefinder) for CLA, but I have hit a serious snag: I'm totally unable to figure out how one is supposed to remove the film rewind knob on Zarya. It is easy on a regular FED-2, but Zarya's rewind system is different.

The knob does not lift like on regular FED-2. There are no visible screws on anywhere on the rewind system.



I don't want to break things by using exessive force while trying to remove it the wrong way, so I'm relying on your knowledge...

Block the spindle from the inside and unscrew the rewind knob by turning it anti-clock wise? That is at least how it works on most japanese SLRs.
