feedback forum needed?

greetings to all.
i have a question that has been inspired from a couple of recent p.m.'s i have received and also a recent post about internet buying.

do you folks think we need a section dedicated to feeback about our rff members and transactions we have made on this site (only).
i'm not interested in gathering feedback about ebay or other sites, it's just us that i'm talking about. i'm not looking to become an internet cop.

i would like your opinions before i would even think about asking jorge to set this up.

I think this works on ebay because it's expected, here it might breed some animosity.

Almost everyone posts the good news as soon as he gets his new toy, so I don't really see any reason for such forum (yet)...

I feel we are among peers here. Most of us sell here because we want someone to use the item. If they are unhappy, it certainly defeats my purpose in selling it. I think every item sold here could have been sold for more on EBay. Feedback forums serve to slow down unscrupulous sellers, something that I have never seen here.
 
i tend to agree that a separate section is not needed.
i think some people were not too sure as to how to publicly give a positive concerning a well turned deal and also some were unsure who might be an 'acceptable risk' when it came to a high ticket item.

internet deals can be scarey and there is always a risk as evidenced by my recent ebay loss of a very nice lens hood by a seller who had thousands of + feedback statements.
but i agree that if someone hangs out here enough that a 'feel' for the people here will come.

Well, fact is i also would trust anyone here - but the number of members is rapidly increasing and soon it will be impossible to "know" everyone.
However, usually there's a feedback after a deal - the buyer saying how much he likes the stuff even without asking him to do so :)
 
I don't see a need either. I gotta say that my buys, sells and trades on this forum have been the among the most enjoyable transactions I've experienced.
