I reacquainted myself with a guy after seeing his airplane settle into some nearby timber as I was out for a bicycle ride. Rode over to his place to find that he now has a short grass strip in the woods. He used to fly pipelines and now has his own business doing aerial mapping.
He's replaced his Hasselblad (I think a 203fe) with a digital Hasselblad. He asked me about a good place to sell the film body (don't know yet what will go with it). Another question that goes with that one is how can I find the worth of the equipment?
I have no idea about value of medium format equipment, but know that (like all equipment) condition, accessories and other factors come into play. For each set of conditions there is a range of price that is fair to both seller and buyer. Ebay seems to range so widely I don't trust it. Where could I get a reasonable idea of value once I find out the details about the equipment?
Thanks
Mike

look at b&h, adorama, keh, igor for their prices on comparable equipment and go from there if you don't trust ebay's completed listings

keh.com and igorcamera.com are much more reliable sources of pricing than ebay.

This, except I'd go KEH price minus 15% minimum. Their Leica prices seem a bit inflated right now, can't say for Hasselblad.
