Dennis, Calumet photo on Columbus Blvd appears to stock a lot of film (http://www.calumetphoto.com/eng/categories/film/film/negative-film). Their location is not that convenient for me, so I have not dropped in to check them out. Photolounge on 19th and Chestnut (http://www.myphotolounge.com/) has a small selection of film, I think only Tri-X and Kodak consumer color film.
If you are coming for a working visit, probably best off to bring a lot with you. I will say that Calumet is pretty convenient if you are driving, so that may work for you.

EDIT: Dennis, I was curious and called Calumet - they do have a lot of film in-store, Ilford Delta and HP5, Tri-x, some Fuji films, also a full selection of color. I guess I need to check them out.

Hey Randy,
I'll be driving into Philly in about 2 hours and I will probably stop by Calumet and buy a load of film from there. I am planning on staying in philly for a week so I will finally have some time to shoot. Thanks for the information , much appreciated.

This might be a little late, but if you are hanging around the Philadelphia downtown area, there is a great photo store called Webbcam you should try, if the need arises.
The store is located at 241 North 12th street.
They stock new and used cameras, film, darkroom supplies.
Have fun in Philadelphia!

+1 for Calumet, I went there over the summer while housesitting for my sister. Very knowledgeable staff and quite a good walk-in selection of all kinds of film. I just took a cab there.
