Quick CL question. Does your film advance lever "stick" in the meter on position without having to hold it there with your thumb? It seems like my new CL's lever has more play than necessary and requires me to hold it in position for the meter to operate. Typical or no:confused:

Thanks in advance!

Thanks Gerry, suspected that was the case but I'd never handled one before. It appears the "cap" on the film advance is threaded as I can loosen and tighten it. I'm afraid to remove it altogether in case something may then fall down inside the camera. Does appear to be a "spring washer" under there that is not doing it's job providing adequate resistance. I should probably just be thankful the meter is working and leave it alone (but I won't). Anybody played with this mechanism?

That was an easy fix. There are three washers along with the film advance lever under the nut. The bottom is a typical spring washer that is easily re-bent to refresh the spring. The very top washer is also a spring washer of sorts but seemed adequately bent. Now it holds position on or off. Hope this helps someone else someday. Thanks again Gerry.
