Two quesstions:

First, I am wondering if anyone on this forum has worked with Rollei 100?

I have googled the film for reviews, and only found two that were somewhat useful. The reviews mentioned that this film is APX 100. I am wondering if anyone has used this film? Does this film have similar results as APX 100? And if you can post any other thoughts about this film. I will be processing the film in Rodinal--any thoughts about this as well, will be useful.

Second, I have had the same light meter for the past 20 years. All of a sudden it stopped working, nothing. It turns on, but it will not read the light. Everything lights up, blinks, and then turns off. I have replaced the batteries, but that had no effect. I am wondering if it is possible to have light meters repaired, and if so where?

Thanks,

Sisyphus

Although I have never used tthem I hear nothing but good things about "Quality Light Meters"...
They are located in So. Cal...Hollywood I believe...
Latest number I have is...323-467-2265
I have a few meters I'm thinking of sending to them...

Rollei Retro 100 is indeed APX100, a very nice film. I usually develop mine in Rodinal 1+50 for about 15 min @ 20°C (68F). Just be careful with the agitation, Rodinal often gives very high contrast if you agitate to vigorously (I usually give my tank a couple of twists every 45-60s). The result is a nice greyscale with sharp but not pronounced grain.

Thanks for your responses. Hopefully, I can get the light meter repaired, and I am glad to know that Agfa film still exists in some form. Thans for your times. I will be curious to try processing the film at different dilutions.

My current standard has been 1:25 for about 10 minutes, agitating once every 30s. From this you would think that results are quite contrasty, but it seems to yield a beautiful results for me. i would like to take two rolls under the same conditions and process them 1:50 and 1:25, and see what the differences may be in aesthetic.

Thanks again!
