I was doing the weekly grocery shopping today at a local worker owned grocery store here in Madison, Woodman's. It's very similar in layout and selection to any of the large chain grocery stores in town. Thinking on the discussions of cut backs in film at Walgreen's and etc. I decided to check out what they carry.

B&W: Tmax 100, Tmax 400, & C41 BW400.
Color: Kodak's full line of consumer color and Fuji's full line of consumer color.
Slide: ditto
APS: smaller selection & since I don't use it I don't know how much is even still made. Still, they have it if someone needs it.

They also have four packs of Fuji 200 & 400 hanging in all the check out lanes and some even have packs of the Fuji 800 as well.

I think they even have thier own 1 hour mini-lab. Wonder if they do dev only and scan to CD? I'll have to check next time I'm there.

To help ensure that it stays this well stocked, I picked up some Tmax 100 & 400 (despite not really liking Tmax 😱 ) and Sensia 100.

So if you're in Madison WI and need film when the camera stores are closed, head to a Woodman's.

I bought some film in Wisconsin and it turned out it was made of Swiss cheese. It printed really nice although the holes are a little distracting.

You need to buy 120 film, all of that 35mm stuff has holes on the edges.

I just stopped by a Walgreens that I never go to (I was in that area and I needed a few things) and I found not one but two good sized displays of film. One was by the 1-hour photo lab, just under the counter, the other was on the front wall to the left of the check-outs. The lab, for some reason, did not have the Fuji machine, but what looked like an older thing, I didn't see the name of it, tan in color.

Anyway, A good selection of yellow boxes, 100, 200, 400, and 800, with all but 100 in 4-packs. Kodak "Black And White" in single rolls and 4-packs. No slide film that I could see. Then a whole bunch of single use cameras, both Kodak brand and house brand. That's the good news.

The bad news is that between the Kodak film and the single-use cameras were 4 pegs, each for 100, 200, 400, and 800 house brand film. All were empty except for 4 rolls of 200, preprinted with a price of $1. Of course I snatched that up, leaving all house brand space empty. These are actually marked with Agfa on the boxes, and I don't remember seeing this before. These are not that old stock, date was like 7/2007.

Oh well ...
