Film developing and Landlord (damages on tub/chrome)

Thanks again for all the good suggestion.
I'm careful (or try to be) when I developed. Rinse, dump with running water etc. I will look into things suggested here as well.

He's full of ****. Most likely he noticed some kind of film drying equipment or roll holders around during some kind of work and that's what tipped him off.

Chrome fixtures aren't massively expensive, and a tub isn't going to suffer anything.

Honestly, landlords like this are assholes and unless the place you're in is stellar, one is better off just moving. Landlords of this type usually create more problems than solutions. They basically want you to be a good little lamb, living in your box, with your payment sent out every 30 days.
