Film developing help

Just developed HP5 with infotech HC developer and looking at the film drying is covered in blu or dark particule, like the film writing as melted at the edges.
If I slide my finger on the film I get lots of tiny dirty bits on my finger.
Could it be the wetting agent or to high temperature maybe?:bang:
After inspecting the reel i can see that it's covered in that stuff to:bang:

Hm, so what temperature did you use? HP5plus is quite resilient though.

Anything special about your local water supply? How was your washing procedure?
About the wetting agent: if it is fresh, then even in too high a concentration it should not leave traces like the one you describe. But, that aside, most users make the experience that it is better to use less wetting agent than recommended by the maker.

I used ilford ifotol at the end, looking at the reel and the edges of the film, it look like it was rubbing against something as you can barely see the number.
It almost look like it took the ink writing from the edges:bang:
